ROMANO BEANS

A bean variety typical of the Valdarno Fiorentino and Arezzo areas, in the provinces of Arezzo and Florence, Romano beans are considered by many to be the best bean. With its intense but delicate flavour, it is ideal for typical dishes, such as with oil and with sauce. It has a protein content of around 20% and low saturated fat content.

Like all types of beans, Romano beans play an extremely important role in vegetarian diets as they are a source of essential nutrients for this dietary pattern.
