NAMEKO MUSHROOM

With its aromatic fragrance and sweet, pleasant taste, the nameko mushroom is very popular and is used in a variety of recipes. It becomes very appetising when preserved in oil, and is excellent as an appetiser or as an accompaniment to main courses. An essential ingredient in Japanese miso soup, the nameko mushroom is also good for enriching soups and risottos.
Very low in calories (15 per 100 grams) and fat, the nameko mushroom is rich in water and dietary fibre. It has a high phosphorous and potassium content.
