CUCUMBER

An essential ingredient in the preparation of two traditional dishes: Andalusian gazpacho and Tzatziki sauce, of Greek origin. Cucumber can be pickled and used to make fresh sauces, which are excellent with eggs and cold meats. In Asian cuisine, it is also cooked, together with other vegetables or as an ingredient in other dishes. It can also be used to prepare healthy juices and extracts.


Refreshing and purifying, cucumber has very few calories, and is perfect in a low-calorie diet as it has a high satiety index. Its high water content also stimulates diuresis and its low sodium content helps fight water retention. It also contains many minerals, such as magnesium and folic acid, vitamins C and K, fibre and folate.
