TURNIP GREENS

A typical staple of the cuisine of central and southern Italy, turnip greens have now conquered palates all over the country with their slightly bitter and spicy taste. In addition to typical dishes, such as those from Puglia and Campania, turnip greens are very versatile in the kitchen: excellent with pasta, but also to flavour risottos, savoury pies and tasty starters.

But turnip greens are also healthy. With only 32 calories per 100 grams, turnip greens are 92% water. They also contain excellent amounts of calcium, phosphorus and iron as well as vitamins A, C and a high content of polyphenols, natural antioxidants.
