RED RADICCHIO OF CHIOGGIA 

With its pleasantly bitterish taste, red radicchio of Chioggia is perfect for a light side dish, simply braised or stewed in a pot. But it can also be enriched with other ingredients such as walnuts, speck, pine nuts and bacon, to create a variety of side dishes to accompany meat and fish. Red radicchio of Chioggia is also excellent in risottos and savoury pies.
As with all red-purple fruits and vegetables, red radicchio of Chioggia has plenty of antioxidants (even more than blueberries).

Composed of 93% water, it is low in calories (23 per 100 g of product). Its high water content, together with its fibre content, promotes intestinal function, while its antioxidants combat free radical activity. Rich in vitamin C, red radicchio of Chioggia also strengthens the immune system.
